The working principle of the shearing machine
A shearing machine is an industrial equipment used for cutting and processing metal sheets, widely used in industries such as sheet metal processing, mechanical manufacturing, and construction. Its main function is to cut the entire metal sheet into the required size in a straight line direction for subsequent processing or forming.
According to different driving methods, shearing machines are mainly divided into mechanical shearing machines and hydraulic shearing machines. Regardless of the type, its basic working principle is the same: by the relative motion between the upper and lower blades, a strong shear force is applied to the metal sheet, causing it to fracture and separate. The upper blade is fixed on the moving upper blade holder, and the lower blade is fixed on the workbench. After the machine is started, the motor drives the flywheel or hydraulic system to generate power, pushing the upper tool holder to move downward along the set trajectory to complete the cutting action.
During the cutting process, in order to ensure cutting quality and machine safety, blade gap adjustment devices, pressing devices, and protective devices are usually installed. The blade clearance is adjusted according to the material thickness to avoid excessive shear burrs or blade wear. The pressing device is used to stabilize the sheet before cutting, preventing material displacement or jumping.
Overall, the shearing machine achieves fast and precise cutting of metal sheets through high-precision mechanical structure and high-strength shearing force, and is an indispensable and important equipment in modern manufacturing industry.
